Guess the Film/Song from the costume/dance

Post  Littlebear on Thu Dec 02, 2010 7:03 pm

So we have seen the frocks. We know the dances.

I'm going to rewatch paying more attention, but so far my thoughts:

Matt & Aliona - must surely be The Italian Job? But can one jive to The Self Preservation Society? Mr Bear thinks yes, I am less sure.

Sssccoottt - La Winklemann thought it was obvious but Mr Bear & I jumped to different conclusions. Mr Bear thought Ursula Andres in Dr No & the James Bond theme music, I thought Princess Leia & the Darth Vador theme. WDYR?

the orange one & Katya - well my first thought was it was a bit Dianne Keaton but then they ahve the foxtrot so something much earlier perhaps? Marlene Dietrich?

sex on legs?

Pamela?

Kara?

Guess the movie/song from the costume/dance

In today's Daily Express it says An.n is dancing to something from Hello Dolly

I think Dr No is right because Hilary asked 'where's the snorkel & knife'

the rest not a clue scratch

Blimey how many people turned this gig down then ? & Natalie are definitely doing Dr No.

Could Katya be doing something like Victor Victoria or Yentle What a Face

Just wondering what would occasion a yellow jumpsuit? affraid

Matt quite possibly the Italian Job - can't think what else has an iconic UJ.

Pam & Kara will be the surprises.

My first thought when I saw Aliona's dress was Austin Powers. affraid

I thought Dr No for Ssscott too, given Hilary's ref to knife.

Has somebody mentioned Moulin Rouge for Kara & Artem???

Guess the film/song from the costume/dance

Mrs A

Just wondering what would occasion a yellow jumpsuit?

Didn't Barbera Streisand as Dolly Levy wear a gold outfit for the restaurant
scene in Hello Dolly maybe the yellow sequined jumpsuit is in honour of that
and An.n's modesty when An.ton lifts her.

Yep, pistol-packing secret agent meets bikini-clad girl singing a Reggae song on a Carribean island beach. Just the right stuff to invoke bullfight images. Good choice. scratch

Dr No was the original first James Bond with Sean Connery so the main theme for all Bond films came from that. Which would work rather well. Just hoping Sssscottt doesn't show up in 60's Speedos affraid

... or my Mum's raincoat, which was worn by one the extras when they were filming Dr No in Jamaica. I've never managed to spot it in the film though. Still, I like having a James Bond claim to fame, even if it is a bit tenuous! Very Happy

I got the Italian Job and the bond movie (Ursula's bikini) frightfully clever
