Death of Dance....

Strange title, but I'm actually taliking about the mid 1960's. Till the Beatles, the Liverpool sound, Bob Dylan and onwards, my golden era of ballrom and rock and roll was king, but it took a real body blow when the coffee bar shuffle and that most ridiculous of dances, The Twist, set the trend for the male pint and ciggie twitch on the fringes of the areana as they leered their way to machoness. Anybody have a tale to tell, a revelation to make, about that era?
